HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR WEEK...

Forest Fun with our big buddies - most of us played capture the flag

Dan the Recycling Man came on Wednesday and taught us how to make paper.

Scientists - Jordan, Caden, Morgan and Krystel.  We have learned some really cool science concepts.

This afternoon we voted to have both our gym and our free choice Friday centres in the forest.  It was awesome but dirty! (Sorry)  When we got back to the classroom we discussed all that they had learned while they were outside.  At first they couldn't think of many things but then our list got very long...
that we don't always getting our own ways,  we got frustrated and angry
We learned how to solve problems, what compromising is, and ways of working out different issues, we found mushroom or fungus that was hard, different kinds of nut shells, sap on trees, how to get down from some of the tree stumps

As the weather gets nicer some of the students are starting to wear flip flops and sandals.  If so please send socks as they are still expected to wear their inside shoes in class and of course in the gym. Keep in mind these types of footwear are not ideal for running and playing if we go out to the forest or even just on the playground so you may want to also have an older pair of runners for outside play.

Our field trip to the ACT is on Thursday, May 8th.  We are still short drivers - please return your notices by Monday so we can confirm and hopefully not need to cancel this pre-paid trip.  We will need parent drivers at the school at 11:30 so will be having our lunch at 11.
