We had another busy but very fun week!
On Wednesday we had a Fire Safety presentation. The fire fighters did a 911 simulation demonstrating to the students what it would be like if there was an emergency. It was evident that many students in Div. 7 do not know their phone numbers and addresses. This is so important to know that I would like everyone to learn, practice and memorize these. Today students brought home a fire escape planning sheet.
Thursday was our 100th Day of School. All the primary students rotated to different classes, they had lots of fun and completed all of the following activities... Bingo, 100 actions, cheerio necklaces which we made and ate, 100 day pendants - showing many different counting patterns to 100 (these are now hanging in the hall), building using 100 objects (the favourite was the cups, and 100 Day Hats! Thanks to Viktor for treating all the primary students plus many others with 200 Jolly Roger Candies!
***Wear Pink both Monday and Wednesday! Monday is our Mindfulness Day and Wednesday is Anti-Bullying Day. If you are interested please send $2.00 for a friendship bracelet, this is to raise money for a school in Africa. Friday is a Pro D day so there is no school. We will not be having any spelling this week.
