Highlights of our week were...
#1 - Of course the OWL presentation, it was amazing and the students were such great and asked good questions. When asked what they learned and liked they said, "Meeting Pokey, the Barred Owl and Tyra, a Marlin!" "Actually seeing a scull and talons" "Learning the difference between birds of prey - the sound and the feel of the eagle feathers compared to an owl's feathers, how eagles are fast, while owls are silent. That both of these birds are raptors." Hopefully all of you got the notice explaining the special activity that OWL is having with Santa on Dec. 7th 10-3, their address is 3800 72nd Street Delta V4K 3N2.

In gym the children groups and have created a new game. On Friday they started teaching it to another group. The students are very excited and have created some real cool games!
This week we finally got back to our Canada book and studied all about the three territories. Ask your child what they learned about the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
We also started new Explorations which you can ask your child about and everyone was excited to get their new Just Right Reading Books.
