October News!

It seems impossible that it is already October, our weather outside however is definitely telling us that it is Fall. Thanks to everyone that has sent in all their forms and money (planners were $8.00 and memory books were an additional $7.00 – a total of $15), if you have not sent these in please send them in asap. FAMILY READING will continue to happen every Friday from 8:30-8:45. We have had a good turn-out these last couple of weeks, thanks for taking the time as the children really love to have you come and read with them. Our Great Canadian presentations will start tomorrow. These are the home projects that you are preparing with your child on the Canadian Flag background. If you have any questions about your child’s #1 Canadian or if the date doesn’t work please see me or write me a note. Thanks for your support and assistance with this project. Div. 7”s Special Celebration Snacks is on the back of this notice. Hopefully everyone is okay with providing one snack for one of the special holidays. If you had not signed up I asked your child to choose what they would like to bring and when depending on what was left (if this doesn’t work for you please just let me know). PLEASE MARK ON YOUR CALENDAR – Tuesday, Oct. 22 we have a field trip planned for Fort Langley. We will need parent drivers for this trip. More information to follow as soon as we get it. Hopefully you have heard from your children that we are studying Canada. They all seem very excited to be learning all about the country they live in and we have lots of fun activities planned. Class Blog will be available hopefully Friday, you will be able to find it by going to Faiview Elementary, class websites and then Mrs. Rowledge-Toscani.
