Our Great Canadian presentations are all going well and we now have a cool bulletin board in our hallway with all the posters plus some of our Canada windsocks!
Fairview is once again having their annual Halloween door decorating contest. We made owls (we have discovered that many provinces have an owl as their provincial bird so we are soon going to be doing a unit on Owls). We brainstormed Halloween words and started did some writing and many students choose to write about Halloween.
For Big Buddies we read and then played on the playground.
Zoob has been a popular station this week and many students are making these enormous snakes.
One group was very excited when they found the Lincoln Log character and they incorporated it into their creations.
Halloween is Thursday, we will be having a costume parade in the morning. Please not that your child's costume should be easily taken off so that they can go outside to play at recess and lunch. Thanks in advance to the parents who signed up for Halloween Treats. Jaden - Fruit Plate, Kendra - Veggie Plate
Madison - Cheese/crackers or small sandwiches, Sweet Treat - Nicholas K., Grace - Popcorn/chips or pretzels, Dharma - cookies
EVERYONE CAN BRING A JUICE BOX FOR A DRINK FOR OUR CELEBRATION ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31ST afternoon.
Fairview has decided that Friday, Nov. 1 is Pajama Day. So if your child wants to join in they can wear pajamas and bring their favourite stuffie!
