Our field trip to the Space Centre was a huge success. Thanks so much to Viktor, Caden, Jordyn, Amanda's moms and Grace's grandmother for joining us for the day. We appreciated your help. Thanks to everyone for signing up on the portal and for your patience with the glitches we found. Hopefully in the future this will be easier to use.
You'd need a apron like this to be able to eat in Space! |
We made these cool solar system hats/purse/beards - we could decide what they were! |
On Tuesday we started using the on-line reading program Raz Kids. You should have each received a letter. I am currently doing a graduate program and I am using this on-line reading program as part of my field study examining how technology affects reading specifically choice of books, fluency, comprehension and motivation to read. I will be sending home a survey at a later date but would also appreciate any comments that you have, please email me directly - thank you. So far the students all seem very excited and anxious to read the variety of books that they find in their book room. I am new to this program as well so we are learning together but something that has been brought to my attention is that students should always choose books from their letter.
