Conference sign-up is in the hall outside the classroom door (Conferences are Thursday, Dec. 5th)
This week we started our Owl Lap books and are learning some very cool facts about owls. Did you know that they like to splash around in the water, a group of owl eggs is called a clutch? We are reading this novel called "A Place for Owls" By Katherine McKeever. It is about a place in Ontario that rescues owls. She told us about Granny and how she thought she was human! That was because she only saw people when she was very young. Imprinting is the name for what happens when young birds identify with the creatures they see most often.
On Monday we had a neat presentation "Raven meets the monkey king!" A great aboriginal legend that was very well done and enjoyed by all of Div. 7.

In art we made owl pictures, every one turned out very unique but all look amazing!
Skating has been booked with our big buddies on Thursday, December 12 after lunch. Please mark this date on your calendar. A letter will be coming home next week.
